Fuel Prices Rise to N1,350 Per Litre in FCT as Residents Face Growing Cost Pressures

Fuel prices have risen across the Federal Capital Territory, with motorists paying between N1,280 and N1,350 per litre at several filling stations.

The increase follows a series of adjustments in the ex-depot price of petrol. Motorists in areas including Gwarinpa, Dutse and Kubwa complained that the higher prices were putting additional pressure on their household budgets.

Residents are also concerned that higher fuel costs could translate into increased transportation fares and food prices, as businesses face rising operating and transportation expenses.

Industry stakeholders attributed the price movement to adjustments in refinery prices and fluctuations in the international crude oil market. Residents are urging authorities to take steps to stabilise prices and ease the growing cost-of-living pressure.
