Delta State has launched a new digital platform to modernise the management of outdoor advertising and improve revenue collection.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, unveiled the centralised digital advertising management platform for the Delta State Signage and Advertisement Agency (DESSAA) in Asaba.
According to the state government, the platform will promote transparency, accountability and operational efficiency by digitising advertising processes and eliminating opportunities for financial leakages and unethical practices. The system will also allow advertisers and stakeholders to access services electronically from anywhere in the world.
Officials say the initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), improve service delivery and ensure that all legitimate advertising revenues are properly accounted for. Stakeholders have described the move as a significant step toward modernising revenue administration in Delta State.
