The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, security agencies and the Oyo State Government following the successful rescue of all the school children and teachers abducted in Oriire community of Oyo State.
In a statement issued on Friday July 10 by the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the governors described the development as a moment of joy and relief after months of coordinated intelligence gathering and security operations.
The forum acknowledged that the rescue highlighted the effectiveness of collaboration between the Federal Government, Oyo State Government and various security agencies
The NGF celebrated with the families of the rescued victims, while expressing sympathy to families and communities affected by kidnapping and other violent crimes across the country.
The NGF reaffirmed its commitment to supporting ongoing efforts aimed at improving security and safety across Nigeria. It further urged Nigerians to continue supporting security agencies with useful information.
