The Kaduna State Police Command says 17 additional suspects have been arraigned in connection with the mob killing of a woman in Maraban Jos, Kaduna State. The Command disclosed this in a statement on Friday June 26 by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, in Kaduna.
According to the statement, the suspects were arraigned in court on June 25 following the conclusion of preliminary investigations into the incident. The police also revealed that 33 other suspects have been charged with criminal conspiracy and unlawful assembly in relation to the case.
The Command, however, noted that 30 persons earlier arrested in connection with the incident had been found not to have participated in the crime and were subsequently released unconditionally.
The Police stated that investigations into the gruesome killing were still ongoing, assuring residents that every person found culpable would be brought to justice.
