Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have arrested a suspected arms racketeer during a covert operation in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
According to military sources, the suspect was intercepted at Makera checkpoint following intelligence reports on the movement of illegal arms from Jos South towards the area.
A search of the vehicle reportedly led to the recovery of pistols, ammunition, pepper spray, and other items.
The suspect is currently in custody as investigations continue to determine possible links to criminal networks and the destination of the recovered items.
