A real estate firm, COPEN Group, has launched a new housing initiative aimed at helping low and middle-income earners become homeowners across Nigeria.
The scheme, known as the “Tenant to Landlord” programme, was unveiled in Enugu under the theme “A Home for Every Dream; A House for Every Pocket.” It brings together stakeholders from the housing, banking, and mortgage sectors, alongside prospective homeowners and investors.
According to the company, the initiative will offer flexible payment options, including rent-to-own arrangements and mortgage support, to make homeownership more accessible. Interest rates under the scheme are also expected to be as low as six per cent per annum through partner financial institutions.
COPEN Group says the programme is part of its broader effort to address Nigeria’s housing needs and support more citizens in owning decent and affordable homes.
