Bayelsa State representative Tamunosoye Karibi-George has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026, after emerging winner at the grand finale held in Lagos.

She competed against 20 finalists in a contest themed “Pride, Power, and Purpose,” featuring talent, interview, and evening wear rounds. With her win, she will represent Nigeria at the 73rd Miss World Festival in Vietnam.

She succeeds the outgoing queen, who represented Nigeria at the 2025 Miss World pageant in India, where she reached the Top 20.

Organisers say Karibi-George will now carry Nigeria’s flag on the global stage, with preparations underway for the international competition.
