KIDNAPPED OYO PRINCIPAL, TEACHER, PLEAD WITH TINUBU, MAKINDE TO NEGOTIATE FOR THEIR FREEDOM

Abducted staff of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have made a passionate appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde to urgently negotiate with their kidnappers for their release, saying they have spent nearly two weeks in captivity under harsh conditions.

The victims, including the school principal and a teacher, made the appeal in an emotional video circulating online, where they were seen stranded in a bush alongside schoolchildren.

The principal, who appeared visibly distressed and knelt while speaking in the video, said the abductees had endured severe suffering since they were kidnapped from the school about 13 days ago. The principal further warned that the abductors were becoming increasingly agitated, raising fears for their safety.

Also speaking in the video, a female teacher who was seen clutching a toddler and weeping appealed to Governor Makinde and relevant authorities to meet the demands of the kidnappers in order to save their lives.

The incident has further heightened concerns over rising insecurity and attacks on schools in parts of the country, with many Nigerians calling for stronger protection for students and education workers.
