GTEXT FOUNDER WARNS OF LIQUIDITY CHALLENGES IN NIGERIA’S REAL ESTATE SECTOR

Listen

The Founder of GText Holdings, Dr Stephen Akintayo, has identified liquidity challenges as a major concern affecting operators in Nigeria’s real estate sector.

Speaking during the company’s 18th anniversary celebration in Lagos, Akintayo said real estate investments often require long-term capital commitments, making it difficult for some firms to maintain steady cash flow.

He noted that many companies in the sector have faced similar financial pressures in recent years and stressed the need for diversification and sustainable business strategies. He also revealed plans for GText Holdings to expand into agriculture, renewable energy, security technology and AI-driven businesses.

Akintayo further encouraged young people to develop practical and entrepreneurial skills, while industry stakeholders at the event highlighted innovation, professionalism and long-term planning as key drivers for the future of the real estate industry.
