Dangote Group says safety recommendations from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) are helping to reduce truck crashes linked to its cement transport operations across Nigeria.
According to the company, a Safety System Gap Analysis conducted by the FRSC in 2025 identified issues such as speed limit violations, overloading, weak safety monitoring and poor driver rest management.
Dangote Group said implementing the recommendations led to noticeable improvements between the first quarter of 2025 and the same period in 2026. The company reported that crash cases dropped from 25 to 11, while injuries and deaths also declined significantly.
The FRSC described the development as proof that data-driven partnerships and stronger safety standards can help improve road safety nationwide. The agency also encouraged other transport operators to adopt proactive safety measures.
