The Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria has urged Nigerian Muslims to rededicate themselves to the cause of Islam by standing against evils and bad behaviours as enjoined in Islam.
The group’s National Coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, gave the advice in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday May 26 while commemorating the 2026 Arafat Day.
He stated that today being Arafat Day is the day in which pilgrims from all over the world currently in Saudi Arabia to perform holy pilgrimage, must be present in Arafat to perform the most important Hajj duties and responsibilities.
He called on Nigerian Muslims who are fasting today to as a religious obligation, rededicate themselves anew to the cause of Islam by ensuring that they stand against all evils and bad behaviours as enjoined in Islam.
The coordinator also urged bandits, kidnappers and those perpetrating evil acts and crimes to have a change of heart and embrace peace.
On Eid-el-Kabir celebration scheduled for Wednesday May 27, the group’s coordinator urged security agencies to remain steadfast in protecting Muslim worshippers in all the praying grounds.
