Stakeholders in the security and risk management sector have called for stronger collaboration and technology-driven solutions to address Nigeria’s evolving security challenges.
The call was made at the maiden Enterprise Security Risk Management Conference organised by the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals (AERMP) in Lagos. Speakers focused on the growing complexity of threats such as cybercrime, terrorism, and other technology-enabled criminal activities.
Representatives from government agencies and industry experts stressed the need for intelligence-led systems, stronger partnerships, and a shift from reactive to predictive security approaches. They also noted that enterprise security risk management must be treated as a shared responsibility across all sectors.
The conference also featured discussions on strengthening digital risk frameworks, as well as the induction of new risk management professionals.
