Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has congratulated renowned Nigerian artist and cultural icon, Mrs Nike Davies-Okundaye, on her 75th birthday.
In a statement, the governor described her as one of Kogi State’s greatest cultural ambassadors, praising her lifelong contributions to African art, culture, and youth empowerment.
He noted that her work in textile design, painting, fashion, and mentorship has helped promote African heritage globally. He also highlighted her support for arts education projects in Kogi State and other parts of Nigeria.
Governor Ododo wished her continued good health and more years of impactful service, celebrating her as a source of pride for the state and the nation.
