APC ASPIRANT PETITIONS PARTY OVER ALLEGED IRREGULARITIES IN APAPA PRIMARY ELECTION

Listen

An APC House of Representatives aspirant for Apapa Federal Constituency, Dr Adesola Adedayo, has raised concerns over the conduct of the party’s primary election held on May 16.

In a petition to the APC Electoral Appeals Committee, he alleged that several wards were affected by irregularities, including electoral fraud, violence, and alleged disenfranchisement of party members.

He also claimed that some voters were prevented from participating, while voting and collation processes were reportedly disrupted before completion in some areas.

According to him, supporting evidence such as affidavits, photographs and videos have been submitted for review.

The aspirant is requesting that the party nullify results from affected wards and conduct a fresh primary election under proper supervision.
