Abakaliki — Ebonyi Governor Francis Nwifuru has dismissed rumours of a fallout with his predecessor and current Works Minister, David Umahi, calling the reports “pure speculation.”
The buzz started after a consensus arrangement sidelined some aspirants linked to Umahi—but Nwifuru insists there’s no rift.
“We’re working together for the party’s progress,” he said, blaming the rumours on those trying to stir division.
The governor also promised fairness, saying all aspirants will be engaged and treated equally as the party moves forward.
