Damaturu, April 30, 2026 — The Yobe APC Critical Stakeholders’ Forum has endorsed Alhaji Baba Wali as its preferred governorship candidate for 2027.
The endorsement came after a meeting in Abuja led by Governor Mai Mala Buni and Sen. Ibrahim Geidam, Minister of Police Affairs.
Stakeholders described Wali, a former SSG, as experienced, steady, and well-suited to continue the state’s development agenda.
Buni and Geidam also pledged continued consultations to promote unity within the party.
