ARTISANS SET FOR BIG BOOST AS TASE 2026 TARGETS FINANCE, SKILLS GAP

Listen

From carpenters to creatives—Nigeria’s artisans are getting a platform to grow, earn more, and go global.

Say it Loud Africa has announced plans to host the Artisan Summit and Expo (TASE) 2026, a major push to tackle challenges holding back artisans especially access to finance and proper business structure.

Speaking ahead of the event, advocate and Creative Director, Femi Oyelade, said the summit aims to connect artisans with key players across public and private sectors to unlock real opportunities.

The three-day event will focus on financial inclusion, skills development, mentorship, and business formalisation, helping artisans become more organised, bankable, and competitive.

Oyelade stressed that despite their huge role in Nigeria’s economy, many artisans still struggle with funding and structure gaps TASE is designed to close.

The summit will also feature exhibitions, networking, and interactive sessions in an engaging “edutainment” format, bringing together entrepreneurs, apprentices, financial institutions, and development partners.

The goal? Turn Nigeria’s informal sector into a powerhouse of structured, profitable businesses.
