NASARAWA PDP CHAIRMAN QUITS PARTY AMID INTERNAL RIFT

Listen

Political tension in Nasarawa takes a twist as the embattled PDP chairman walks away from both his seat—and the party.

Adamu Ninga, the suspended Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, has officially resigned from the position and dumped the party entirely.

Ninga confirmed his exit while speaking with journalists in Lafia on Friday, ending weeks of speculation following his suspension over alleged misconduct by the state working committee.

He said he had already submitted his resignation letter to the PDP leadership in his Agyaga Electoral Ward, Akwanga LGA, citing strained relationships and pressure within the party.

According to him, his decision was driven by attempts by some individuals to push him into actions he considered politically inappropriate.

He added that he preferred to “take the path of honour” rather than remain in a toxic internal environment.

Ninga, however, said he has not yet joined any other political party but promised to announce his next move in due course.

He thanked his supporters and hinted that his future political direction may still align with their wishes.
