At the 2025 Nigerian Army Day in Kaduna, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, speaking through Vice President Kashim Shettima, gave a clear, powerful message to the troops: go after terrorists, bandits, insurgents, and separatists threatening Nigeria’s peace. He emphasized that these threats don’t discriminate—they target everyone, regardless of tribe or religion.
Tinubu assured the military of full government support, promising better equipment, intelligence, and training to keep Nigeria’s forces ready and effective. He also honoured fallen soldiers, vowing their sacrifices won’t be forgotten.
The Chief of Army Staff highlighted the Army’s growth and focus on soldier welfare, while the event showcased impressive parades and modern weaponry, attended by top officials and dignitaries.
