YOBE GOVERNOR MOURNS TWIN DOCTORS WHO DIED TWO DAYS APART

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has condoled with the family of twin sisters, Dr Hadiya Usman and Dr Aidah Usman, who died two days apart, describing their deaths as a painful loss to the family, medical profession and people of the state.

According to a statement issued by the governor’s Focal Person for Digital and Strategic Communication, Yusuf Ali, in Damaturu on Monday, October 5, Hadiya, a medical doctor with the Federal Medical Centre, Nguru, died on Friday, while her twin sister, Aidah, a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), died on Sunday.

The sisters, who reportedly died of natural causes, were daughters of Dr Hadiza Usman, Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Nguru. Buni described the deaths as heartbreaking and devastating, and prayed that Allah would forgive the deceased and grant them eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus.

The governor also prayed for strength and fortitude for their mother and other family members to bear the loss. He had earlier dispatched a delegation to Nguru to convey his condolences, led by the Commissioners for Basic and Secondary Education, Prof. Abba Idriss Adam, and Health, Mr Muhammad Lawan Gana.
