The Lagos State Police Command has sealed a suspected illegal factory allegedly used to produce and package adulterated alcoholic drinks in the Yafin area of Badagry, arresting a 48-year-old man found at the premises.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, on Thursday September 24, said the operation followed credible information from members of the public. She said operatives recovered suspected adulterated alcoholic drinks, empty bottles, wine labels and various production equipment.
Adebisi said the recovered items had been taken to the police station as part of an ongoing investigation, while the factory was sealed and the suspect taken into custody.
Commissioner of Police, Fatai Tijani, commended the operatives for their vigilance and response to the information, reaffirming the command’s commitment to intelligence-led operations against criminal activities.
The police urged residents to continue providing credible information to help prevent crime and protect lives and property.
