Afrobeats stars Davido and Rema will headline the 2027 edition of Afro Nation Portugal alongside Congolese music star Fally Ipupa, organisers have announced.
The festival, scheduled for June 9 to 11, 2027, at Praia da Rocha Beach in Portimão, Portugal, will also feature Nigerian artistes Omah Lay and Victony on the main Lit Stage. Other performers include Jamaica’s Shenseea and Valiant, Tanzania’s Rayvanny, British-Nigerian artiste Odeal and French-Congolese singer GIMS as a special guest.
South Africa’s Amapiano scene will be represented by Kabza De Small, TxC, Dlala Thukzin and Young Stunna. The festival will feature a mix of Afrobeats, Amapiano, dancehall, hip-hop, R&B and other African-inspired sounds, alongside beach parties and cultural activities.
Afro Nation Portugal was launched in 2019 and has since attracted music fans from around the world, featuring major artistes including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Asake and Tems. Rema previously headlined the 2024 edition, while organisers said more artistes would be announced ahead of the 2027 festival.
