The Nsokpo Dynamic Association has appealed to Imo Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, to urgently intervene over insecurity and deteriorating roads in Nsokpo Community, Mbaitoli Local Government Area.
In a statement signed by its President, Mark Onyejiaka, and Secretary-General, Chukwudi Ohiri, the association said repeated kidnappings and armed attacks had created fear among residents. It called for sustained security patrols, coordinated operations around surrounding bush areas and support for local vigilance groups working with formal security agencies.
The group also raised concerns about the condition of the Nsokpo–Ifakala–Nwaorieubi Road and the Nsokpo–Lawa–Ohi Road, saying the poor roads were making movement difficult and increasing transportation challenges, particularly during the rainy season.
The association also requested streetlights at dark and high-risk sections, alongside reconstruction of the two roads, as it called for government action to improve security, mobility and economic activities in the community.
