The Nationwide League One (NLO) has announced Oct. 10, 2026, as the kick-off date for its revamped NLO Cup, with participating clubs required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of 1 million naira.
Eligible clubs from NLO Division One and the NLO Youth League Under-19 will compete in a regional home-and-away format. Clubs can select their preferred home grounds, while teams facing logistical challenges may share grounds with nearby clubs with approval from the league.
The NLO says all matches will be live-streamed on its official platform, with Futbol Connect, SofaScore and Zkyte Technologies identified as technology partners supporting talent exposure, live scores, player statistics, analytics and digital broadcasting.
The league is also preparing zonal play-offs from Sept. 19 to Sept. 27 for State League winners and runners-up seeking entry into the NLO Division Two Under-19 Youth League. The matches will take place across the six geopolitical zones, with participating teams required to obtain their licences before the games begin.
