KADSEMA CONTAINS GAS TANKER LEAK IN KADUNA, NO CASUALTIES RECORDED

Listen

Emergency responders in Kaduna have successfully contained a compressed gas tanker leak in Kaduna South, preventing what could have become a major safety incident.

The Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA), working with the Kaduna State Fire and Public Safety Agency, responded promptly after receiving a distress call. Officials secured the area and began cooling operations to stabilise the tanker and eliminate potential dangers.

KADSEMA Executive Secretary, Usman Mazadu, confirmed that no casualties or injuries were recorded during the incident, while the tanker driver escaped unharmed. Traffic has been diverted from the Nnamdi Azikiwe By-Pass near Unguwan Mu’azu to allow emergency operations to continue safely.

Authorities have thanked residents for their cooperation and urged motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area until emergency officials complete their work and declare the route safe for public use.
