The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has sensitised students of Government Secondary School (GSS), Suleja, to the ban on “sign-out” practice among graduating students.
Speaking, the Zonal Coordinator, NOA in Suleja, Alhaji Mohammad Awwal said the practice was banned following an incident that occurred in Ogun. He explained that the recent trend, known as “sign-out,” involved students signing their names on one another’s uniforms.
He said the act “often leads to indecent and immoral behavior among students.” According to him, the Federal Government has warned that anyone caught engaging in the practice will face prosecution and possible imprisonment.
The NOA coordinator also addressed issues concerning security, urging the students to remain vigilant and report suspicious individuals, group or acts. He also distributed pamphlets containing the new National Anthem to the students and encouraged them to learn and memorise it.
