The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara State has busted an inter-state robbery syndicate allegedly responsible for a series of burglary and robbery operations across Kwara and other parts of the country.
The breakthrough followed months of intelligence gathering, surveillance and coordinated tracking operations by the Command’s Tracking Unit, after receiving multiple complaints from residents and business owners whose homes and shops had been broken into and valuables stolen.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a suspect, Abdulrasheed Kadri, popularly known as “Soldier.” Security operatives said information provided by the suspect led them to a warehouse in Ibadan, Oyo State, where NSCDC operatives recovered a large quantity of suspected stolen property, including a vehicle and several other valuables believed to be proceeds of criminal activities.
The recovered items have been secured while authorities continue documentation and efforts to identify their rightful owners. Efforts have also been intensified to apprehend other members of the syndicate who remain at large.
The NSCDC command urged residents to continue supporting security agencies with credible and timely information, stressing that public cooperation remains critical to maintaining peace and security across the state.
