RAINY SEASON: DRIVE BELOW SPEED LIMITS, FRSC ADVISES DRIVERS

Listen

The Federal Road Safe Corps (FRSC), Jigawa Command, has urged motorists and other road users to drive cautiously, attentively, and below the speed limit during the rainy season in order to avoid crashes.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Mas’udu Matazu, gave the advice in an interview on Wednesday June 17 in Dutse.

He cautioned drivers against the use of worn out tyres, and advised them to always do the preliminary Pre-vehicle Use Checks to ensure their vehicles are in good working condition.

Matazu further stressed the need for drivers to turn on their headlights even during the day during rainfall for clear visibility and avoid flooded roads, as water depth can be deceptive.
