China has showcased how technology can be used to preserve and promote cultural heritage through an innovative exhibition in Abuja that combines virtual reality with traditional art.
The exhibition, titled “Fan, Charm and Ink Fragrance: The Cultural Resonance of Traditional Calligraphy and Tang Dynasty Virtual Reality,” blends Chinese calligraphy, painting and seal carving with immersive VR experiences. Visitors can explore historical Chinese culture through interactive digital technology while engaging with traditional artworks.
Speaking at the event, officials said the initiative demonstrates how modern technology can make cultural heritage more accessible, especially to younger generations, while encouraging cross-cultural understanding and exchange.
The exhibition, hosted by the China Cultural Centre in Nigeria, will run until July 10, offering visitors an opportunity to experience Chinese culture through a mix of innovation and tradition.
