POLICE RESCUE ADELABU’S SISTER, TWIN SONS, AS TWO SUSPECTS DIE IN GUN BATTLE

The Nigeria Police Force has rescued Mrs Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, following a tactical operation that resulted in the death of two suspected kidnappers. Mrs Olaide John-Paul is a younger sister of former Minister of power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.

The victims were freed unharmed on Saturday June 6 after security operatives tracked the kidnappers to their hideout. An ensuing gun battle between the police and the kidnappers led to the death of two of the suspects. Two firearms were recovered.

The police command revealed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend members of the gang who escaped during the operation. The command also assured residents that operations will continue until all members of the gang are arrested and brought before the law.

Mrs John-Paul and her twin sons were abducted on June 3, 2026, at about 7:30 a.m. in the Elewura area of Challenge, Ibadan, while she was taking the children to school.

The successful rescue has brought relief to the victims’ family and residents who had anxiously awaited positive news on their safety.
