A commemorative polo exhibition match has been held in Abuja to celebrate the 60th birthday of former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Adm. AZ Gambo (Rtd).
The event took place at the Nigerian Army Polo Resort/Guards Polo Club, featuring AMTRIGG and Alhusna teams as winners in their respective categories. Alhusna won 2–0 against Kangal, while AMTRIGG defeated AZ Polo Team 6–3.
Dignitaries and participants described the occasion as a celebration of friendship, service, and the former naval chief’s contributions to polo and national development.
The event also highlighted the strong ties between the military community and polo enthusiasts across Nigeria.
