Listen

Ilorin, April 30, 2026 — The Kwara State Police Command has recovered a stolen Toyota Matrix using advanced tracking and remote immobilisation technology.

The car was stolen at Mandate Market but quickly traced after officers activated its digital tracking system. The signal led police to the Jebba Expressway, where the vehicle was found abandoned.

Suspects reportedly tried to cover their tracks by changing the number plate, but the original was recovered nearby.

Police say investigations are ongoing to arrest those involved, reaffirming their commitment to tech-driven, intelligence-led policing.
