“HIS LEGACY LIVES ON” — TRIBUTES POUR IN FOR LATE STRIKER MICHAEL ENERAMO

Tributes are pouring in for former Super Eagles forward Michael Eneramo, who reportedly collapsed and died during a friendly match in Kaduna.

According to the Nigeria Football Federation, the striker suffered cardiac arrest shortly after the second half resumed, having played the entire first half before the tragic incident.

Former Sokoto United Technical Adviser, Mansur Abdullahi, described Eneramo as a prolific striker whose impact on Nigerian football won’t be forgotten.

He recalled Eneramo’s memorable goal against Tunisia during the 2010 World Cup qualifiers in Abuja, highlighting his strength, work rate, and sharp eye for goal.

Eneramo, who earned 10 caps for Nigeria, was also known for his club success with Espérance Sportive de Tunis, where he picked up multiple trophies and earned the nickname “The Tank.”

Abdullahi added that beyond his goals, Eneramo’s professionalism and decision to represent Nigeria over Tunisia inspired many young players.

His sudden passing has left a deep void in the football community—but his legacy, many say, will live on.
