KEBBI VARSITY HITS GOLD: 11 COURSES BAG FULL NUC ACCREDITATION

Listen

From struggling labs to full accreditation—this is one academic glow-up worth noting.

Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology has scored a major win, securing full accreditation for all 11 of its programmes from the National Universities Commission.

The milestone, confirmed after the 2025 accreditation exercise, means the courses are cleared for five years—placing the Kebbi-based university firmly among Nigeria’s top-performing institutions.

University spokesperson Mustapha Ango credited the turnaround to Vice-Chancellor Bashar Danshehu, who inherited funding gaps and weak infrastructure but flipped the script within two years.

Key programmes—from Engineering to Medicine and Computer Science—made the cut, signaling improved standards, better facilities, and stronger academic delivery.

AFUSTA is no longer playing catch-up—it’s setting the pace.
