Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu led the motion, highlighting Nigeria’s constitutional protections for religious freedom and rejecting claims that security issues stem from religious conflict. Lawmakers urged correcting false impressions and protecting Nigeria’s global image. The motion was sent to relevant committees for further review.
