A petrol tanker with brake failure spilled 45,000 litres of fuel near Oko-Olowo, Kwara State, on Monday evening. Firefighters promptly contained the spill with water and foam, safely transferring the petrol to another tanker, averting a major fire near crowded shops. Fire Service Director Prince Falade urged drivers to maintain vehicles properly and called on the public to stay clear and report emergencies quickly.
