GHANAIANS FREED: POLICE RESCUE 19 FROM TRAFFICKERS IN OYO
Nineteen young Ghanaians trapped in a cruel trafficking scheme have been rescued by Oyo police, shining a light on the dark world of human trafficking in Nigeria.
In a swift operation in Ibadan, Oyo State, police busted a trafficking ring holding 19 Ghanaians—14 men and 5 women—who were lured to Nigeria with fake job promises. The victims, now safe, are helping authorities track down those behind this exploitation.
The raid happened at a locked building in Kajorepo, Akinyele LGA, following credible intelligence. The rescued individuals have been handed over to immigration officials for further care and possible reunification with their families.
Oyo police are urging the public to stay alert and report suspicious activities to help stop trafficking in its tracks.
