Easter message from Wahab Olasupo Egbewole highlights faith, moderation and interfaith harmony as Christians celebrate worldwide.
The Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin has sent warm Easter greetings to Christians, calling the season a time to reflect on the sacrifice, humility and enduring legacy of Jesus Christ.
He urged believers—and people of all faiths—to embrace selflessness, faith and compassion, while celebrating responsibly and supporting the less privileged.
A key highlight: this year’s overlap of Ramadan and Lent was described as a powerful reminder of unity in serving God and humanity.
Egbewole praised the strong Muslim–Christian harmony within the university community, saying it’s a model Nigeria can emulate for lasting peace and national development.
He ended with prayers for a peaceful and fulfilling Easter celebration for Christians at home and abroad.
