Massive security sweep as Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ramps up deployment to keep Easter celebrations peaceful across Kwara.
The Kwara State Command has mobilised 2,280 officers across all 16 LGAs to prevent any breakdown of law and order during the Easter festivities.
According to State Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, operatives will maintain strong visibility at churches, motor parks, malls, recreational centres and other strategic locations to stop criminals from exploiting the holiday period.
Security measures now include:
- Intensified surveillance and patrols in urban and rural areas
- Tactical units and rapid response teams on high alert
- Strong protection of critical national assets and infrastructure
The command also issued a stern warning to troublemakers: anyone planning to disrupt peace or vandalise public assets will be swiftly arrested and prosecuted.
Residents were urged to cooperate with security agencies and embrace the Easter spirit of love, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence.
