Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Fatai Tijani, has ordered a robust deployment of personnel and operational assets across the state to ensure residents enjoy a hitch-free Easter celebration. Speaking through the command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, Tijani said officers have been stationed at worship centres, recreational areas, major highways, transport hubs, and other key public spots to guarantee maximum security coverage.
Special attention has been given to riverine communities, with the Marine Police conducting enhanced surveillance and patrols to keep waterways safe. The command is also collaborating with relevant agencies to implement effective traffic management measures, ensuring smooth movement during the festive period.
Tijani urged residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious persons or activities, and make use of the emergency lines for immediate assistance. He also wished Christians a happy Easter, encouraging reflection on the values of love, sacrifice, and peaceful coexistence.
