NSCDC FLOODS KWARA WITH 2,280 PERSONNEL FOR EASTER SECURITY

Ahead of Easter celebrations, security presence in Kwara is getting a major boost as NSCDC rolls out thousands of officers across the state.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 2,280 personnel across all 16 LGAs of Kwara State to guarantee peaceful Easter festivities.

According to the state command, the massive deployment is aimed at preventing any breakdown of law and order and stopping mischief-makers before they strike. Residents can expect heavy security visibility around churches, parks, motor parks, shopping centres and other critical public locations.

The command also revealed that surveillance and patrol operations have been intensified in both urban and rural communities, with tactical teams and rapid response squads on standby to tackle emerging threats swiftly.

Commandant Bala Bodinga warned that anyone planning to vandalise public assets or disrupt celebrations should think twice, stressing that offenders will face the full weight of the law.

While extending Easter greetings to Christians, the command urged residents to cooperate with security agencies and embrace the season’s message of love, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence.
