NSCDC DEPLOYS 1,322 PERSONNEL TO SECURE ENUGU EASTER FESTIVITIES

Enugu’s NSCDC goes all out this Easter with over 1,300 personnel on high alert to keep residents safe.

The NSCDC has deployed 1,322 officers across Enugu State to ensure a peaceful and secure Easter celebration. DSC Pamela Chukwu, the command’s PRO, said teams are stationed at major churches, markets, highways, recreational spots, and other high-traffic areas.

Special units, including Rapid Response, Anti-Vandal, Intelligence, and Disaster Management, are on standby to quickly handle any emergencies. Patrols will run day and night, and the command is working closely with other security agencies for stronger coordination and intelligence sharing.

Chukwu urged residents to stay vigilant, follow security guidelines, and report suspicious activities: “Security is a collective responsibility, and we count on full public cooperation.”

The NSCDC reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives, property, and critical infrastructure before, during, and after Easter.
