TWO MEN ARRAIGNED FOR ALLEGED IPHONE THEFT, THREAT TO LIFE IN LAGOS

Two young men plead not guilty after being accused of stealing a luxury phone and threatening the owner in Badagry.

The Police arraigned Kehinde Idowu (22) and Maxwell Adegoke (23) at the Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court over stealing an iPhone 15 Plus worth N700,000 and allegedly threatening the owner, Michael Eluwan, on March 21 at Star Light Bus Stop, Morogbo, Lagos.

The defendants denied the charges. Prosecutor Insp Friday Maneh said the men conspired to commit the felony, putting the complainant in fear, violating Sections 411, 287, and 56 of the Lagos Criminal Laws, 2015.

Magistrate A.J. Aina granted bail of N300,000 each with two sureties, one of whom must be a community leader, and adjourned the case to May 18 for mention.
