Over 30 lives lost in Jos—MACBAN calls for an end to violence and accountability for perpetrators.
The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has strongly condemned the killing of over 30 citizens in Jos, Plateau State. President Baba Othman-Ngelzarma described the tragedy as a painful reminder of the ongoing cycle of violence in the region.
Othman-Ngelzarma called on religious, traditional, and community leaders to promote dialogue and unity rather than inflame tensions. He also urged security agencies to act decisively, identify those responsible—whether directly involved or inciting violence—and bring them to justice.
Highlighting the need for stronger intelligence and security presence, MACBAN stressed that the sanctity of human life must be non-negotiable and reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful coexistence and national unity.
“Words matter. In fragile environments, they can either heal or destroy,” Othman-Ngelzarma said, calling for an immediate end to bloodshed.
