Kano residents are urged to revalidate their PVCs and stay election-ready as INEC kicks off a week-long voter awareness campaign.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has rolled out a seven-day voter enlightenment exercise at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, targeting eight metropolitan Local Government Areas. The aim: boost voter participation and ensure citizens update their registration details ahead of upcoming elections.
Garba Ashiru, INEC Enlightenment Officer in Kano, said the programme features public sessions and community engagements to educate residents on electoral processes. Conducted in collaboration with the Kano State Government, the initiative encourages voters to revalidate their PVCs and get accurate information for seamless participation.
“Your vote counts—make sure your PVC is ready,” Ashiru stressed.
