Nigeria’s procurement landscape gets a boost! The Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) is set to host an online orientation for 97 newly deployed procurement officers this week.
Abuja will welcome the virtual workshop on March 31, targeting officers on Grade Levels 15 to 17 across various MDAs. The move follows directives from President Bola Tinubu and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, which returned career management and mobility of procurement officers to BPP.
Dr. Adebowale Adedokun, BPP Director-General, will preside over the session, aimed at strengthening officers’ capacity in effective procurement practices. Attendance is mandatory for all the deployed officers, underscoring the government’s focus on accountability and efficiency in public procurement.
