ZULUM DISSOLVES BORNO STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL AHEAD OF ELECTIONS

Borno Governor clears the path for political ambitions as he dissolves the state’s executive council.

Gov. Babagana Zulum has approved the immediate dissolution of Borno State’s Executive Council. The move, disclosed by Secretary to the State Government Bukar Tijani, is to allow commissioners who wish to contest in upcoming elections to pursue their political ambitions freely.

All commissioners have been directed to hand over ministry affairs to permanent secretaries by April 3. The governor expressed gratitude to outgoing members for their service and assured that governance and public service delivery will continue smoothly through the civil service.
