Horror on Supare Road as a young life is lost to a tipper truck accident in Akungba-Akoko.
A nine-year-old girl was tragically killed on Sunday when an unregistered Mercedes-Benz tipper truck ran her over at Supare Junction in Akungba-Akoko, Akoko South-West LGA, Ondo State.
DSP Abayomi Jimoh confirmed the incident, saying the girl was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. The driver has been arrested, and the vehicle recovered for inspection as police continue investigations.
“The Police Command commiserates with the family and assures the public that justice will be served,” Jimoh stated, urging all motorists to drive carefully and follow traffic laws to prevent such tragedies.
