SARAKI RALLIES KWARA PDP FOR SHOWDOWN CONVENTION

Former Senate President calls for unity, maturity and a united push to reclaim Kwara.

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara to close ranks and stay focused ahead of the party’s crucial national convention.

Speaking at a pre-convention dinner with Kwara delegates and stakeholders in Abuja, Saraki described the convention as the final stretch in rebuilding the party’s strength and securing a strong platform for the next elections.

He reminded aspirants that the coming primaries are not a do-or-die battle, stressing that the bigger goal is PDP’s victory and what he called the rescue of Kwara State.

Saraki also pushed for post-convention mobilisation, urging members—from executives to youth groups—to immediately begin grassroots campaigns across wards and LGAs.

In a reconciliatory tone, he opened the door to members from rival camps, saying the party is ready to welcome anyone willing to join the rebuilding effort.

Confident in the party’s chances, Saraki declared that PDP would reclaim Kwara and “lead it to prosperity,” describing the party as a family that must stay united.
