Katsina United and Barau FC battled through a tense Match-day 32 clash in Kano on Sunday, but neither side could find the net, ending in a 0-0 stalemate.
Barau FC coach Eugene Agbabe praised the result, highlighting that the draw secured his team’s safety from relegation. “When I joined, Barau was in the red zone. To God be the glory, we have achieved that,” he said, stressing the importance of focus for the remaining six league games.
Katsina United coach Azeez Audu also lauded his players’ resilience, calling the point “well-earned” in a challenging away fixture. He expressed confidence that the performance would boost team morale for upcoming matches.
Barau FC now sits 11th on the NPFL table with 42 points from 32 games, while Katsina United remain eager to chase maximum points in the season’s closing fixtures.
